Chuckle for the day....Kid's logic

How I love my dear sweet Savannah!  She came and showed me her little sunflower plant and how it was starting to die.  It had been growning quite nicely in a tiny cup on our windowsill.  I told her it was dying because it needed to be put into a bigger container.

When I went back into the kitchen a little while later this is what I found:

She put it in a bigger container!!!!  The logic of a 4year old.  Priceless.

Please Join Me in Praying

My heart is so heavy and I am reaching out to all of you who read my blog to please join me in praying for several of my friend's children. I posted the above picture because I have seen it many times before and brings a smile to my face and I need but these are some heavy duty prayer requests.

1) Please pray for one of my best friends, Tina and her son Danny. He will be 11 next month and has been getting tested for possible lymphoma cancer. There is a tumor in his leg and they have not ruled out bone infection or lymphoma cancer yet. It is looking like cancer. They have been on a wild roller coaster of ups and downs this last month while trying to get testing and concrete answers and they still have to play the waiting game. Please pray for calmness, pray that it is only a bone infection (which is still serious but a lot better than cancer) pray for God's protection around their family. You can read about his story here: http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/dantheman

'For I know the plans that I have for you,' declares the LORD, 'plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope. Jerimiah 29:11

2) Please pray for friends of our from our old chuch the Erwin family and their daughter Natalie. She is 14 and was recently diagnosed with a form of leukeima. She was just in the hospital again this weekend because of some complications. You can visit her blog by clicking on the button on the right side of my blog that says We pray 4 U NPE.

"The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him." Psalm 28:7

3) Please pray for for close friends of my sister in law their names are Mike and Sherry and their baby (Grace) she was born with a heart deformity and at 5 mos. old has had two surgeries already. I cannot locate the address of her blog but I will find it soon and post it here. Get ready for a box of tissues but it is also a wonderful yet heart wrenching testimony that Mike and Sherry share as well.

For You formed my inward parts; You wove me in my mother's womb.

I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;

Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well.

Psalm 139:13-14

4) Please also pray for my friends Matt and Lisa and their son Chris he is 17 and is coming up on his one year mark of chemo for fighting lymphoma cancer that was discovered last summer. I just recently saw Lisa and it has been a very long year for them. At the beginning of this diagnosis I know that Chris received Christ as his savior and I am sure the Lord's strength has been getting him through this rough time. Please pray the cancer stays in remission.

Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble; He saved them out of their distresses. He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions. Psalm 107:19-20

Last but not least pray for this new baby I am carrying. We go for the ultra sound July 6th. I have no reason to be concerned but I always am until this ultra sound. We are just praying for a healthy baby and it doesn't matter to us boy or girl. God already has that determined and it is in His plan.

Thanks for praying!

We have another walker in the house!

It's official.....we have another walker in the house!

We thought she would have walked a lot sooner but she has finally figured out and takes one step forward and two back and turns all around!  LOL

Natasha has started walking in the last two weeks and is now walking more than crawling.  I love watching little ones learn how to walk it is quite funny, arms in the air, legs wobbling around, excitement on their faces.

Joshua acutally took these pictures of Natasha and they turned out great!!!  I honestly was amazed.

Happy Father's Day

4Like arrows in the hand of a warrior,

So are the children of one's youth.

    5How blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them;

         They will not be ashamed

When they speak with their enemies in the gate.

Psalm 127:4-5

I am so very greatful to have a compassionate, faithful, loving and godly man as a husband and as the father of my children.   It was wonderful celebrating this special day with him. We had a nice realxing father's day starting out at church.  I wish I had a picture of us during our church service.  Pastor Don had us all stand and gather around dads and husbands to pray for them and to see all our children gathered around Jay praying for him was awesome.  They were all trying to sit with him in one chair (that was pretty funny).  After church the kids gave Jay his gifts.  Now let me back up some... earlier in the week I asked them what we should get daddy for Father's Day and Alexa answered "candy" and Joshua answered a Wii game.  Jay doesn't care much for either of these things but guess who does???

We decided to compromise and get daddy a music stand and a new guitar stand for here at the house since we are going to be setting up the front room as a music room.  We also got him some treats.

What's been going on with us....

Here is a little catch up to this crazy but great summer so far:

Jay is finally done working at UOP we are so excited!!! He is full time at the church now and loves it. His first full week was filled with VBS!! That kept us hoping all week and he is in his last class and will graduate in July. These next weeks he will be getting his schedule all set up. It is great him having praise band practice here I love listening to it.

I am finally getting some energy back. That is another reason I have not been blogging is I have been so tired from this pregnancy but I am slowly getting my energy back and all is going well. We are looking forward to July 6th, that is the ultra sound date and Jay's last day of class! Whoo hoo.

We also had a great but all to short visit this past weekend with Uncle Welton and GG. We were so excited to see them and visit but I am bummed I did not get any pictures especially of them with the kids. So I guess they will have to just join us at Disneyland in September!!!! (No pressure!) :)

Well I need to go tuck some kiddos in bed. I will keep trying to post more regularly.

(June 20th) I also wanted to add we have been going swimming and to the summer movies. I haven't got really any good pics of swimming cause I have been too busy chasing kiddos. We have really enjoyed the movies. Our favorite has been Nim's Island. We had never seen it before and I have to say it is one of the best family movies I have seen in a long time.

The Boomerang Express....It all comes back to Jesus

This year for Vacation Bible School we took a ride on the Boomerang Express all the way to Australia!  We saw kangas, koalas, crocodiles, and sheep; we ate termite mounds, Kangaroo tails, and coober pedy pudding. The most important thing we learned was:

This is how God showed His love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through Him.  1 John 4:9

It was a rewarding, wonderful and exhausting week all at the same time!  It started Saturday night with a kick off picnic and games and water jump things.  The Kangaroo came to visit and stayed all week.  Alexa was petrified of the kangaroo she cried if he was anywhere in site.  This started on Saturday and continued till Wednesday.....

Then finally by parents night the next Saturday here she was:

Here are some more pictures of our week:

Anastasia's friend Rachel stayed with us all week.  I am so bummed I didn't get pictures of her brothers.  They stayed two nights with us for Joshua having his first sleep over with friend and they had so much fun together.

Be sure and look in my pouch!  Cute!!!

This was my classroom with my koala in a tree!  The most exciting news was I got the opportunity to pray with three of my students to except Christ as their Savior this week!!

Snack time!  Kangaroo tails.

Going to class.

Arts and Crafts

Performing for parents night.

My Dancing Girls

The weekend after VBS was also Savannah and Alexa's first dance recital! (See why I am having to catch up! )

Ok I have to brag. I can do that after all they are my daughters and this is my blog. They were so cute and did a great job. My pictures of them on stage do no justice! I am hoping my father-in-law's turned out better. We videotaped the whole thing and I had to keep going to the dressing room and change them. It was a great show!!!!

Way to go girls!!!!

It's So Much Fun Turning One!!!

My baby is 1!!  You can click here to see her birth story. Natasha Grace has had a great year filled with many milestones and any day we are going to add walking to that list!  She has always been a happy, easy going baby.  We celebrated her birthday with two celebrations.  Since her birthday fell on a Wednesday we took a cake to church with us that night and everyone sang happy birthday to her.  Then we had a party the following Sunday.  What first birthday would be complete with out the birthday girl getting her first piece of cake!!  It was great and she chowed on it and would not let us take it away.

Jay and Anastasia made this cake.
