Joshua's Birthday

Happy 14th birthday to our big guy!  The day before each kids birthday I always make a big deal of it being their last day of a certain age. Well these three pictured below have always been my "rocketship" since they were 3,2,1. Well last night was their last night being 13,12,11 and they were gracious enough to humor me and recreate this photo. Love them!!  : )

Joshua started his birthday celebrations by going on a morning hike with his sister then we took him out to lunch and of course a free Dutch Bros. coffee and then he ended the night with youth group. The big celebration will come on Thursday night when he gets to head to Six Flags for a turn around trip with youth.

Joshua is becoming an amazing young man and I am so blessed to be his mom!!

Joshua's birthday

HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOSHUA!!
You are growing into such an incredible young man with such a caring heart.

What a fun day of celebrating the start of the last year in single digits!  We made Joshua a special birthday breakfast and then we headed out for an Amazing day at Amazing Jakes!  Two of Joshua's friends came and we are a party to ourselves!  There was pizza, games and rides all afternoon oh my!

Grandma and Grandpa even joined us for ahwile.

Later that night the party continued with more friends and a pazooki cookie!  Yummy!
One of your favorite gifts came from Papa and Grandma....a really nice chess set.  It has become one of your favorite games and as long as you keep practicing you just might beat papa or daddy.  ;)

Happy Birthday Joshua!  We are so blessed to have you as part of our family!  We love you!

My 40th Birthday

Wow, the big 40!  I knew this day was coming and wasn't quite sure how I was going to feel.  It is a milestone birthday that I am grateful to celebrate but at the same time it is bothering me some.  :)  These last 20 years have flown by!!
I insisted on not having a big party.  I like giving them for others but I did not really want one myself. My family still spoiled me though.  I woke up early and Nikki took me out to breakfast at Paradise Bakery. Then when I came home my family spoiled me with a bunch of gifts (a new purse, flat iron and jewelry).  Then we went over to the Roger's house and hung out for awhile and then our families went out to pizza at Peter Piper Pizza.  HA HA!  But it was fun.

After we spent the afternoon with the kids, us adults then went to a movie and dinner.  It was a wonderful birthday spent with the people I love

Alexa's Birthday

Happy, Happy Birthday!!!  My dear sweet Lexi Lu, I love you!

It was a special day for our fabulous new 6 year old!  We started the morning with a special birthday breakfast and some gifts.
Hmmmm..... I wonder what could be wrapped in an ice chest???

                                                            Barbie doll from sisters

As soon as she sees it, Alexa runs over to her daddy to give him a big hug.

It's her very on Djembe.  She asked for this for her birthday.  Alexa has an incredible drum beat.  I am excited to see how she does.
We opted to make cupcakes for her party....yummy!

                                                       They turned out sooo cute!

Alexa, we love you so much you bring so much energy and enthusiasm to our family.  You have a great laugh and such a quick wit.  I know that God has big plans for you and I am so blessed to be able to watch you grow into an amazing young girl!

Natasha Birthday

Another birthday....this time for my sweet and sassy Natasha Grace!!  Natasha is so silly, feisty and full of life.  There is never a dull moment with her around! Natasha has been wanting to have a special day with both daddy and mommy (the kids each get one special day a month with daddy.  I will post about that later) and she had a whole list of places she wanted to go and restaurants she wanted to eat at.  LOL  So we decided to take her out for breakfast and then run some errands and then we got a smoothie.  If it was her choice she would have stayed out all day going from restaurant to restaurant.  :)

Over the weekend we had a party with family and friends.  It was very exciting for Natasha because from the Roger's she got her very first pair of skates!!

And from mommy and daddy she got a new bike!!!  We made her sit on the couch with her eyes closed while we wheeled in the bike.  Pure torture!  :)

My beautiful 4 year old!!!!
