I have changed my "Tickers"

If you look I am sure you have noticed I don't have my weight loss ticker anymore it has been replaced......by a pregnancy one!!!!  Here was my announcement on facebook:  In November the final score will be 5 to 1 or 4 to 2.  Most people caught on right away!  My sister especially because we are pregnant together again for the 4th time.  This is how I announced it to everyone after all it is hard to get creative after this many!

All of my friends are excited and happy for us.  It is sometimes the people closest to us that don't understand our desire for a large family and they are "concerned".  Here is a great poem I want to share I found it on a momys group and it was actually written for "baby number 7" so I changed it a little.  I don't know who the original author was.  If you do please let me know.

Wacky Weather

On the way home from church today I actually drove thru snow.  Now most of you might think this is now big deal but here in Arizona in "the valley of the sun" this was really strange.  It was raining all day and on one stretch of raod for about a mile I came across something strange in the road and at first couldn't figure out what it was then realized it was snow!!!  The kids were so excited and wanted me to pull over so they could play in it but it was raining.  So we made it home and in our neighborhood and backyard was hail covering the ground.  The kids immediately ran out back to play in this Arizona snow.

My Music

Just FYI if you want to turn off my music the play list is at the bottom of the page.  You can scroll all the way down and turn it off.  The "HO HO HO and jingle bells" is coming from my santa slide show.  I love this slide show but don't know how to turn off the sound.  Maybe when it gets pushed to another page you won't hear it on the front page.

Library Grand Opening

The long awaited grand opening of our local library branch was Saturday. The kids and I had a great time walking around looking at all the booths seeing performers and looking inside the new library. We are anxious to go back next week when it won't be so crowded.

The local firemen were there with their truck.

Along one wall inside the library is decorated as the beach and also a winter scene. The kids really liked this.

The highlight for the kids was that we can check out 10 DVD's a week instead of only 5 from the other library. Do we really need 10 DVD's in one week??

First Day of Fall??????

Today is the first day of fall????  I am sure the rest of the county is enjoying it but someone needs to tell the state of Arizona that fall is here. It was 102' today.  I am so ready for cooler weather and want to start enjoying fall things but it is so hot out still.  Hopefully it will cool off soon and we can start enjoying the outdoors again!!  Isn't that picture beautiful?  I want to visit a place like that sometime and see all the changing leaves.

2008 Million Minute Family Challenge

In order to join all you have to do is spend some quality time playing board type games with family and/or friends and keep track of the minutes you played. The website has great game ideas, plans and tools to help you plan your own game night and there is even an online Scavenger Hunt each month.

My kids love playing all types of card and board games. What should be our linen closet is our game/puzzle closet. Now this will encourage us to play more games and get back to our Friday Night Fun Night!

The Duggars are Expecting Again

Have you heard of the Duggar family? They are a family that homeschools, loves the Lord and they live in Arkansas. The most famous news about them is that they just announced they are expecting child number 18 in January of next year!!!! I can't imagine as I can hardly believe we are getting ready for number 5. I must say though I enjoy reading about and watching this family. They have done some specials on the Discovery Channel.

Some people get so emotional and upset when hearing about this family but I don't understand it. They are not telling everyone else to go and have 18 children. They took 3 years and built their 7000sq ft. house themselves and it is debt free. So they are supporting themselves and trying live godly lives. I think it is fasinating because there are days that by God's grace alone I make it through with my 4 blessings!!
