Hear It! Believe It! Connect It!
This year's VBS theme was "Big Apple Adventure" I normally love being a part of VBS. I have been involved in one form or another since Anastasia was in preschool. The last two years however have been disappointing from a leadership position. Thankfully the kids didn't know what was going on behind the scenes as there was major lack of organization and the fact that Jay and I had to "fight" our pastor (for the 2nd year in a row) about not allowing Mormons in any type of leadership role!!!Yes you read that right! CRAZY!!! I have nothing against them participating in our VBS as students but should not be in leadership.....Well more about that later.
I tried really hard not to let that steal my joy for being there with the kids. Anastasia and I were teaching 2nd graders and they were a wonderful group of kids.
Praise the Lord for this lovely lady on the right! If it wasn't for her and her incredible prayer life we would of had no decorations at all. She was a life saver!
During our Bible study time we had a Roman soldier and the "woman at the well" come visit us.
Craft Time
Cousin Jocelyn was in town and got to come with on one of the nights!
So faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the message about Jesus Christ. — Romans 10:17 (HCSB)
